Meet Rachel Dedman: curator of REVEALING by SGBL

“I am thrilled to curate REVEALING by SGBL, which for the first time invites artists working independently of gallery representation to show and sell their work at BEIRUT ART FAIR.
Our open call seeks emerging artists from across the MENA region, with the aim of introducing ten diverse practices to the established landscape at BEIRUT ART FAIR.
We consider REVEALING by SGBL 2019 a space to take risk, to make lasting connections among artists across the region, and to challenge the local market. Application and participation are free, spread the call!”

Rachel Dedman (b.1989) is an independent curator and writer based between Beirut and London. Current and recent curatorial work includes projects for Ashkal Alwan, Beirut; Kiln Theatre, London; the Jerusalem Show IX; and the Palestinian Museum, Ramallah.
